NetEase Games has announced that the free-to-play third-person shooter Marvel Rivals will officially arrive on PlayStation 4 on September 12, 2025, launching alongside its highly anticipated Season 4 update, titled “The Heart of the Dragon.”
Season 4: The Heart of the Dragon
In the new update, the Timestream Entanglement draws the Seven Capitals together, forming the Heart of Heaven. After Knull’s fall, Hela finds herself imprisoned in the An’Hay-Zhidi, where the Devil of the Eighth City, Dizang, challenges her to atone for her sins.
But forgiveness is not on Angela’s mind. Furious over Hela’s betrayal, she arrives demanding her handover. The guardian of the Heart of Heaven refuses, setting the stage for a divine conflict where justice and vengeance collide.
A Greater Threat Emerges
While the heroes battle, an even darker danger rises. Doctor Doom plots to steal the Chronal Chi of the slumbering dragon Shou-Lao, a force that could unravel the very fabric of the Heavens.
The question remains: Can Iron Fist protect the Immortal Dragon, or will Doom seize its power and reshape destiny itself?
Expanding to PlayStation 4
Marvel Rivals first launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on December 6, 2024. With its arrival on PS4, an even larger player base can now join the action, team up with iconic Marvel heroes and villains, and experience the game’s evolving storylines.
