HoYoverse has officially announced Honkai: Nexus Anima, the newest addition to the Honkai franchise, alongside the opening of recruitment for its first closed beta test, the Nexus Bond Test.

First teased during the Honkai: Star Rail Anniversary Concert in May 2025, this upcoming creature-collecting adventure strategy game introduces players to a new frontier of gameplay, immersive storytelling, and unforgettable bonds with Anima companions.

A New World Shaped by Bonds and Anima

At the heart of Honkai: Nexus Anima lies the concept of Nexus — unseen bonds connecting dualities such as Love and Hate, Light and Dark, Life and Death. A sudden rupture shatters this delicate balance, scattering their powers across the land in the form of Anima.

Players step into the shoes of a plane-hopping traveler who escapes captivity and sets off on a new adventure. Beginning in a tranquil town, they will journey through uncharted realms, uncovering mysteries while forming powerful bonds with Anima.

Each Anima companion has distinct personalities, concepts, and abilities, which can be combined to unlock diverse battle tactics and shape the way players explore the overworld. In Nexus Battles, these companions fight alongside the protagonist, strengthening ties that drive both combat and story progression.

Beta Test Details

The Nexus Bond Test is a closed beta with a full data wipe. A limited number of testers will be chosen from those who pre-register and complete the official questionnaire. Selected players will gain early access to the game’s unique systems and worldbuilding, offering a first glimpse at HoYoverse’s latest chapter in the Honkai saga.
